Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What leather do we use?
A: We source bovine (cattle) hides directly from suppliers, process them at South Africa’s top tannery, and utilize various types of leather based on our product lines, ranging from full grain to corrected grain tanning methods.
Q: How does purchasing from your Online Shop work?
A: Step 1: Add the item you want to your cart.
Step 2: Add your information to the order. Please add your daytime address (i.e. Work) to your shipping address as orders arrive between 8am-5pm.
Step 3: You will be redirected to Yoco, our secure payment gateway partner that allows payment with all Visa and Mastercard credit cards and debit cards. Alternatively, select our EFT option to pay using EFT (use your order number as reference).
Step 4: As soon as the payment is done, an order is created on our system, we process the order, package the goods, and get it shipped with Courier Guy services. We will email you the tracking number of your order as soon as it’s shipped. Our couriers usually delivers within 48-72 hours after shipment (This increases for more rural areas). We ship orders within 2-7 days of processing orders (Dependent on availability).
Q: How do I keep the leather clean?
A: As leather is a natural product, anything that is made from it, like your new bag, will age with time. The leather will age and change colour due to weather conditions, the natural oils in your skin and other external conditions. Leather is not dirt or water-resistant and should be treated with care and attention.
For best results, we recommend using a sealant such as Plush Leather Protector every 3 – 6 months for ultimate results. If the leather looks tired and worn try applying leather food (clear or natural only) to moisturize the leather.
To eliminate scratch marks, use an unscented wet wipe (ensuring it isn’t too wet) and gently rub it over the scratches. Allow it to dry, and then apply your Plush Leather Protector.
Don’t get your bag wet. If your leather bag does get wet, please blot off (do not rub) all of the excess water as soon as possible with a soft dry cloth and then allow the bag to dry naturally. Don’t force dry the leather with a hair drier or by leaving it in direct sunlight as this may well damage the leather and pigment.
Exercise caution around liquids, pens, oils, makeup products, and dark clothing (dye), as these can stain the leather. Leather is highly absorbent and will absorb any spills.
Scratches and scrapes are inevitable and a little care when putting your bag down and avoiding sharp objects is always a good idea.
Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We use the Yoco payment gateway that ensures encrypted and safe transactions. They accept all Visa and Mastercard debit cards and credit cards. We also accept EFT payments made directly, instructions can be found on the checkout page.
Q: Do you do custom orders?
A: We do cater for corporate custom orders but unfortunately not on smaller scale. As we do produce in batches, it is difficult to stop the entire production process to make alterations to one bag and becomes costly for both us and the client.
Q: Do you have a shop?
A: We do have pop-up shops around Pretoria and Johannesburg, for up to date info refer to the top of this
